General Laborer Part-time
Reports To: Post Press Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Post Press Manager, the part-time general laborer performs activities to assemble a finished product and prepare it for delivery to the customer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform assigned activities in the production a completed product. Activities may include drilling, stitching, folding, shrink wrapping, taping, cutting, collating, inserting, or gluing. Depending on the activity, a laborer may work alone or assisting a primary machine operator.
Ensure that work being performed conforms to Steffen Publishing standards.
Ensure production of the correct quantity.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Maintain all equipment used in a clean, safe manner and report any problems to your supervisor immediately.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Post Press Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 18 years of age (16 years of age with appropriate working permit). Ability to understand and follow specific verbal instructions. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted. Ability to read and write in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
